First Sunday Service of 2024 (January 7, 2024)

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Peter 2:9, ESV

The new year is welcomed with disasters, incidents, and the prediction of a darker tomorrow that may weaken hope. But God is reminding us that He, the Marvelous Light, is with us. We have the power to overcome the stones of doubt and fear, worry, insecurity and anxiety. Speak light, for our voices can command in Jesus’ name. Renew our minds from darkness to thinking of the brighter things ahead. Set our eyes and envision the promise that we are to claim. Our God is the light that never goes out. So be not frightened, for a bright future is ahead of us.
