We are reminded through Bishop Luis’ preaching to not let the devil press us down. Through the story of the young David, we are taught that our bravery is actually a sign of our faithfulness to the Lord. Sometimes, He allows us to face those Goliaths of life to unleash our inner David, whose bravery and victory turn into testimony. What we need to do is utilize the most effective weapon there is for the children of God—prayer. A prayer with the intention to testify gives us the confidence that God is on our side when we fight our enemies, and surely He will be. So don’t let the devil defy you and bring you down; pray to God to champion His name, and He will champion your battle.
