OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
a. We believe and teach that the BIBLE as the HOLY Scriptures of the Word of God both Old and New Testament is inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is infallible in authority and is absolute; and contains the map and only avenue so man can access God, seek way to eternal life, and find answers to his problems, (2 Timothy 3: 16,17; Proverbs 30:5).
b. We believe and teach that the Bible is given by inspiration of God- profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction, (2 Timothy 3:15-17).
a. We believe and teach that the One, everlasting, eternal God of the Bible is Infinite in Power; Holy in Nature, Attributes and Purpose, and who possesses absolute, Indivisible Deity, (Deut. 6:4; Mark 12:29; Gal 3:20; Eph 4:6)
b. We believe and teach that God is invisible, incorporeal, without parts, and therefore free from all limitations. He is a SPIRIT, (John 4:24).
c. We believe and teach that the one true God has revealed Himself as the Father in creation, through His Son in redemption and as the Holy Ghost in regeneration, (1 Cor 8:6; 2 Cor 5:19; Joel 2:28).
a. We believe and teach that the one true God was manifested in the flesh, that is, in HIS Son JESUS CHRIST. GOD was in CHRIST reconciling the world unto Himself, (1 Timothy 3:16; 2 Corinthians 5:19).
b. We believe and teach that the FATHER is in CHRIST, (2 Corinthians 5:19; John 14:10).
c. We believe and teach that in Him (JESUS CHRIST) dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, (Col. 2:9, Col. 1:19).
d. We believe and teach that JESUS CHRIST was both human and divine. HE is called the SON of GOD because HE was conceived by the SPIRIT OF GOD, (Luke 1:35). JESUS CHRIST was called the Son of Man, because HE was born of a woman, (Luke 1:30-31; Gal. 4:4). Therefore, JESUS CHRIST in His humanity was man; in His deity was and is God, (1 Tim. 2:5).
a. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, (Joel 2:28; Acts 1:8; Matthew 3:11).
b. We believe and teach that the Holy Spirit is the Helper of Christians in order to keep the commandments of JESUS CHRIST, (John 14: 15-16; 26).
c. We believe and teach that it is scriptural to expect that all who receive the gift, filling or baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT, to also receive the same physical sign of speaking with other tongues; and to receive the Gifts of the Spirit, (ACTS 2:4, 10:45-46; 1 Cor. 12:8-10).
We believe and teach that in the beginning, God created man innocent, pure and holy. He created man according to His own image. But through the sin of disobedience of Adam and Eve- the first of the human race who fell from their holy state, God banished them from the Garden of Eden and were separated from Him. Hence, by one man’s disobedience, sin entered this world, (Gen. 1:27; Gen. 3:23 ; Romans 5:12).
a. We believe and teach that all have sinned and need Salvation; and that the wages of sin is death, (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23).
b. We believe and teach that Salvation is a Free Gift of God. It is not based on man’s good works but comes by the grace of God through our Faith, (Ephesians 2:8).
c. We believe and teach that Faith in the saving Gospel of JESUS CHRIST is the Good News that JESUS CHRIST died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day, (I Corinthians 15: 1-4).
d. We believe and teach that one should not only have Faith in the gospel but must obey the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST to be saved from eternal damnation, (2 Thess.1:8 ; 1 Peter 4:17).
e. We believe and teach that obeying the Gospel of Jesus Christ is done through Repentance (death to sin); Baptism in water by immersion in the name of JESUS CHRIST (burial); and Receiving the Gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection), (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-4).
f. We believe and teach that baptism is not part of good works, but as an act of our faith, belief and obedience to the gospel of JESUS CHRIST, therefore, baptism is a necessary part of salvation, (1 Peter 3:21; Mark 16:16).
a. We believe and teach that after obeying the gospel, there is a need for us to live a holy life displaying the fruit of the Spirit, (2 Corinthians 5:17; 2 Corinthians 7:1 ; Hebrews 12:14 ; Romans 12:1; Gal. 5:22-25).
b. We believe and teach that sanctification is a lifelong process leading to perfection, (Ephesians 5:27; Hebrews 10:14).
c. We believe and teach that as Christians, we are called to Love God with all our hearts, souls, minds and strengths; and to love others as ourselves as we spread the gospel of JESUS CHRIST to all men, (Mark 12:30-31 ; Mark 16:15).
We believe and teach about God’s covenant of healing. (Exo. 15:26; I Peter 2:24; James 5:14-16).
a. We believe and teach that JESUS CHRIST is coming again and will catch away His true church before the Great Tribulation. It is the Rapture Day – Our Blessed Hope. God did not appoint His children to suffer His wrath but to be saved, (I Thessalonians 4:16-17 ; 1 Cor 15:51-53 ; I Thessalonians 5:9 ; Titus 2:13).
b. We believe and teach about the resurrection of the dead, (1 Thessalonians 4: 16; I Corinthians 15:21).
c. We believe and teach that in the end, a final judgment will take place and the righteous will inherit eternal life and the unrighteous eternal death. (Revelations 20:11-15).
